But Salma Hayek suffered a rare fashion faux pas when she attended this year’s Woman Magazine Awards at the Casino of Madrid on Monday night.
The 48-year-old actress, who was presented with an award by Queen Letizia of Spain, caught the eye thanks to her garish bold red dress.
The off-the-shoulder ensemble featured a lampshade design with ruching along the bodice and a large sparkly black bow detail, while a floaty hemline fell below her knees.
With her brunette tresses left loose in cascading waves, the Hollywood beauty highlighted her striking facial features with a touch of blush, shimmery eyewear and a few swipes of black eyeliner.
Standing tall in black satin heels, she polished off her attention-grabbing look with a small clutch handbag and a large statement ring.
Salma, who is married to French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, was accompanied by her seven-year-old daughter Valentina at the ceremony.
The Frida actress appears to be enjoying a well-deserved break ahead of her preparations for next month’s Cannes Film Festival.
She stars in Tale Of Tales, a dark Matteo Garrone fantasy based on a collection of 17th century Italian folk stories, which is set to make its debut at the event on 14th May.
Meanwhile, Salma has been taking on increasing amounts of charity work and, two years ago, founded Chime for Change – an organisation currently funding health and education projects worldwide.
Current projects include building homes for Syrian refugees living in Lebanon and Turkey as well as others that focus on female empowerment.
Elsewhere in her career, the acclaimed actress is lending her star power to new animated film The Prophet later this year, which will serve as her fifth time in a producer capacity.
